Course Setters/Meet Directors: Robin and Chris Spriggs

First - a sincere thank you to everyone who helped to make the training weekend a success. So many of you helped in one way or another - so hopefully you have encourged a newcomer with their introduction to orienteering - so much so that they will come again.

On Saturday about half of the 32 were newcomers and it appeared that everyone enjoyed the day.

On Sunday there were 36 competitors, some doing a training exercise plus a regular event. 8-year-old Alex's time of 10 minutes on the 1.7km white course was very impressive as was Benjamin Roth (aged 4, I think) who spied a control from his Dad's back, which Dad couldn't see!

Per Soderberg has joined us from Sweden - his 12th day in the country so the heat and altitude hit him a bit today. He has come to work in Boulder - hope you will enjoy your tome in Colorado - an addition to the growing group of top red runners.
