Killer Bee Test Loop
Laramie, Wyoming
14 June 2003
The Killer Bee Test Loop is an 11.3 km orienteering course used to test race fitness for mountain dudes and dudettes. The course is set on the Artillery Spring map. It was designed by Beatrice Zurcher and first used as an "A" day in the 1998 Rocky Mountain 1000 Day. The navigation isn't difficult and the terrain, vegetation, and footing allow for very fast running.
The current records for the course are both held by Mikell Platt and are: a) touching streamers only -- 53:29 and b) controls with punching -- 55:00.
