Many thanks to the Frisco Nordic Center staff for their help in hosting this event. The Ski-O courses were designed by Sharon Crawford; controls were set out by Sherry Litasi and Dick and Nancy Neuburger. George and Betty Bramhall were a great help with registration and instruction. Mil Plant handled Starts and Finishes on the porch. Adam Feerst set out snowshoe controls. I printed maps for all courses.

The weather was perfect, reaching a high near 38°F. We had more snow than I can remember, including four inches the night before the meet. After the meet, a dinner and celebration of George Bramhall’s 87th birthday was enjoyed at our house in Frisco.

In the spirit of orienteering, I decided not to disqualify anyone and to post all times. After all, we are out for the fun of it. A few people on the Medium course failed to punch the GO control at the end of the fence. Another missed a control and the time is out of order. On the Short course, there was confusion on how to punch and how many times to punch in each box -- a learning curve for some young orienteers. By the way, I missed that last control when making the maps.

The Snowshoe Score-O time limit was 1:40:00. Penalties were 15 points for the first minute past 1:40:00, and 5 points per minute after that.
