  • Courses:

    Saturday -- Sprint Courses:

There will be four sprints courses, which are to be done in order. Each is its own individual course, so you can rest and recover in between, but last start is at 2:00 pm. Control retrieval will start promptly at 3:00 pm, since the controls are needed for the Sunday courses.

There are no beginner courses on Saturday and all courses have advanced control placements. However, Sprint #1 is the easiest and you are never far from major tracks and the Start/Finish area on any course, so this is a good chance for an intermediate-level orienteer to try an advanced course.

    Sunday -- Classic Courses:

On Sunday, we will offer standard Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced courses. You can find an explanation of the orienteering course color scheme at our FAQs page.

    - The Beginner courses (White and Yellow) will be suitable for Beginners of all ages -- kids, adults, families, etc.

    - You can complete any of the courses as an Individual or as a Team. (Teams of just two or three work better than large teams.)

Note from Neal (Course Setter): All the courses are challenging, both mentally and physically. For example, on White, the main linear feature is a linear marsh. This is definitely not the event to try Blue for the first time.
