4:00 pmAll courses close at 4:00 pm. (We'll start picking up controls at 4:00 pm. Out of consideration for the meet volunteers, please check in and download at the Finish no later than 4:00 pm even if you haven't completed your course.)

    - The Beginner courses (White and Yellow) will be suitable for Beginners of all ages -- kids, adults, families, etc.

    - CSOL runners must complete their courses individually. All other participants may complete any of the courses as an Individual or as a Team. (Teams of just two or three work better than large teams.)

    Technical
    Difficulty
Course Length Length (km) Climb (m)
Beginner White Very Short 1.7 40
    Yellow / CSOL Short 1.9 80

Notes from the Course Setter: Thanks to Doug, we now have a combined North and South map of Manitou Lake, and I am taking advantage of that with a full list of courses. Parking is on the North map, same as last year.

This is proper back country orienteering. If your only experience is in Denver-area parks then I suggest you drop down at least a class. Talk to someone at the registration desk if you are unsure which course to do.

The Green, Red, and Blue courses will cross barbed wire fences. Several paths and tracks are overgrown, and this includes some used by White and Yellow.

  • Beginner Instruction: Basic Beginner Instruction will take place at 1:00 pm in the vicinity of the Registration table. When you register, let a volunteer know that you would like Beginner Instruction.

  • Event Fees: Our standard meet fees will apply. Please refer to the table below.
