Saturday, July 3 -- Twin Boulders: From Laramie, drive east on I-80. Take exit 323 (Summit exit), drive north over the interstate, and bear left onto WY 210 (Happy Jack Road). Take WY 210 east towards Cheyenne for about 7.6 miles and turn left (north) onto Forest Service Road 701. Stay on 701 for one mile to the corral (and cattle gate), and then continue for (very roughly) one more mile to the next available road to the right (701D). Turn right on 701D and *either* park at the top of the rise and from there walk east on 701D through the cattle gate and continue another 300 m or so the Finish, *or* drive through the cattle gate and park in the vicinity of the Finish.
Sunday, July 4 -- Remarkable Flats: From Laramie, drive east on I-80. Take exit 323 (Summit exit), drive north over the interstate, and bear left onto WY 210 (Happy Jack Road). Take WY 210 for about 8.1 miles, and turn left (east) onto Forest Service Road 708. From here there are three options:
- 1) continue about 0.3 miles and park in the vicinity of the clump of aspen trees and walk to Start (1.5 kms);
- 2) continue around the aspen trees to the second parking area, which should be manageable for nearly all vehicles with some care, and walk to Start (1 km); or
- 3) drive to the last parking area shown, but probably only if you have a higher clearance vehicle and all wheel drive.
Mikell's white truck (and maps) will be parked at the last parking spot.
Monday, July 5 -- Pelican Bay: From Laramie, drive east on I-80. Take exit 323 (Summit exit), drive north over the interstate, and bear left onto WY 210 (Happy Jack Road). Take WY 210 for about about 11.1 miles, and turn right (south) onto Forest Service Road 700. Continue on 700 for 0.8 miles to the junction with 700R. Turn left onto 700R and begin parking after the short wooden fences, in open spaces on either side of the road. To get to Start from Parking, walk west from the road junction to hit the fence, and follow the fence north towards the Start.
