    Course Setter's Notes:

It will be a busy day at Camp Tahosa on Saturday. There will be other guests camping and staying at the lodges/cabins. So let's be courteous and try not to run through any camp sites. Brown/Green/Red runners will for the most part be around the perimeter and there shouldn't be any conflict with the other guests. White/Yellow/Orange runners will run by some of the cabins/tent sites, please stay on the trails next to those sites.

If you ran here four years ago in 2018 when I set the courses last time, you may remember this as a very difficult place. I made the advanced courses a lot shorter than last time, but keep in mind that there are still some technical sections. Take your time and read the features around you, go back to the previous control if you find yourself spending too much time looking.

The area is very dry; what is marked as marshy or wet on the map is not.

Brown/Green/Red runners will cross the dirt road County Road 96 which goes up to Beaver Reservoir. Being a weekend there will be traffic on it. Please pay extra attention when you cross it.

Brown/Green/Red runners will get into some more technical terrain. Some of this terrain has lot of deadfall so it may not be very runnable for everybody. So don't be fooled by the Red course being short.

All courses except for White and Yellow will cross barbed wire fences. Some of the fences are broken and down on the ground, mapped as broken fence; these are not very visible, be careful.

Wildlife: There are moose in the area &endash; I saw one young one near the camp. Do not approach them, give them lot of space. There are also elk but they tend to scatter away when they see/hear you.

    There is no cell service.

Safety bearing will be north to CR 96 or east to the Peak to Peak Highway
