Volunteers: Please add your name to the Volunteer Sign-up Sheet HERE if you can help before or after you complete your course. We need the usual roles to be filled: Set-up, Registration, Beginner Instruction, Starts, E-Punch Crew, and Control Pick-up.
New Volunteer Incentive Program: Anyone who signs up and completes a volunteer shift will receive a voucher for free entry to use at this meet or a future event. (One voucher will be awarded per person per meet.)
Beginner Instruction: Basic Beginner Instruction will take place at 12:15 pm in the vicinity of the registration table.

12:15 pm Beginner Instruction will be offered at 12:15 pm in the vicinity of the Registration table. 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm Registration and starts. (You can register and start at any time during this window. Start early if you want to try multiple courses, or if you expect to take a long time on your course.) 4:00 pm All courses close at 4:00 pm. (We'll start picking up controls at 4:00 pm. Out of consideration for the meet volunteers, please check in and download at the Finish no later than 4:00 pm even if you haven't completed your course.) Courses:
This meet will offer standard Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced courses. You can find an explanation of the orienteering course color scheme at our FAQs page.
The Beginner course (Yellow) will be suitable for beginners of all ages -- kids, adults, families, etc.
Note: Both the canal to the north and Bear Creek itself will most likely be uncrossable. All courses with water crossings should be crossed on bridges. Purple overprint is used to highlight these. A few controls are close to Bear Creek; make sure you are on the right side of the river before you start the leg.

- Driving Directions: From C-470, exit at Morrison Road and head east. The park entrance is approximately 0.25 miles away. Follow the orange-and-white orienteering signs to the parking area. We'll be at the Mountain View Shelter on the North side of Beark Creek Reservoir.
Note: The park entry fee is $10 per vehicle, or $5 per vehicles for seniors age 62+. Note that this is a City of Lakewood park, not a state park.[Park Website]
