Orienteering Meet at Manitou Park
Sunday, July 9th, 2006 -- Woodland Park
The morning started rather iffy weather-wise, but then held beautifully with blue skies for the first two hours of releasing folks onto the courses. Then the skies opened up intermittently. Toward the end (12:30ish), we had torrential rains. So miserable that we left a number of controls out...to be retrieved early next week.
Overall, it was a great event. We do not have a final-final tally yet, however we did have over 40 punch-card starts and many of those were teams of two to four people.
Christoph was great to work with and is a real pro. Lots of very positive comments about the layouts of the courses.
