Orienteering Meet at Chatfield State Park
Sunday, June 24th, 2007 -- Littleton
Although it was a hot day at Chatfield, that didn't affect the spirit and turnout of the people who showed up for the meet. For those people who chose to do the Sprint course, strategy was important in conserving energy and time as many parts of Chatfield had not been mowed, which made off-trail running a challenge. For those who did the Orange course, they also had a chance to experience the same issues that the sprinters had to face. Many beginners, who all did well, had a chance to do the Yellow / White course that, while on a trail, still required a bit of navigating. And, as always, it's good to see the beginner orienteerers doing the String-O. Thanks to everyone who turned out.
