Orienteering Meet at White Ranch
Saturday, May 1st, 2010 -- Golden
The meet went well despite the continuous wind. I think we should re-name this map Windy Ranch.
Lots of people came in saying they were cursing JP during their run, but, by the end, were appreciative of the challenging course. There were lots of navigational choices to make around the hills, re-entrants, and rock features.
We had a good group of participants ranging from beginners and families to expert orienteers and adventure athletes. We also had a star-studded group of volunteers. Without them, the meet most certainly would not have been the great success it was.
