Night-O at Buena Vista
Saturday, May 12th, 2007
The weather couldn't have been better for our first Night-O of the year. The course was the same as the orienteering portion of the 12-hour Adventure Xstream race held during the day. The fastest A/R team took about 2.5 hours to find all 30 controls. Our two-hour time limit with a stiff ten-minute penalty for each minute late kept everyone from cleaning the course, but several came really close. A few people had equipment failures. Michael Rounds reported waiting in the dark for 15 minutes until someone came his way and he was able to borrow a spare headlamp. -- Sherry Litasi
